In a surprising turn of events, prominent priests from Kashi (Varanasi) boycotted Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s ‘Griha Pravesh’ (housewarming) ceremony, reportedly due to their resentment over the recent Etawah temple incident.
Akhilesh Yadav, who had invited priests from Kashi to conduct traditional Vedic rituals at his new residence, was left disappointed as none of the invited Kashi Brahmins turned up, citing their anger and displeasure over the alleged disrespect shown to their community in Etawah.
