The central government has taken major action on the apps that broadcast objectionable content. The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has banned 25 apps including ullu. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has taken this step, identifying pornographics content and apps showing objectionable ads.

According to the notification issued by the government, all Internet Service Providers (ISPS) have been instructed to stop these 25 apps from their respective servers and stop their reach immediately. Storyboard 18 has reported in its report that this step has been taken with the aim of preventing the spread of porn and objectionable content.

Alt, ullu, Big Shots App, Domestic Flix, Boomex, Navras Light, Rose App, Kangan App, Bull App, Jalwa App, Wao Entertainment, Look Entertainment, Hitprime, Fenio, Shourx, Sol Talkies, Aunda TV, Hotx VIP, Hill app, MUX, Niyam Vip Fuji, Moziflix and TRIFLix.
