Tensions Escalate in Telangana: BRS MLA Threatens to Expose CM Revanth Reddy’s Personal Life

Hyderabad, July 26 — The political rivalry between Telangana’s ruling Congress party and the opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) appears to be turning deeply personal. In a dramatic escalation, BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, threatening to expose sensitive details about his personal life if he doesn’t stop making what Reddy called “baseless statements.”

At a fiery press conference on July 25, Kaushik Reddy alleged that the Chief Minister had been involved in relationships with 16 different women, warning that he could go public with their names if provoked further. “Revanth Reddy, if you continue to speak recklessly, I will reveal where you stayed in Jubilee Hills, in Dubai, and in Delhi. I know everything,” he declared.

The allegations didn’t stop there. The BRS leader also accused Revanth Reddy of illegally tapping the phones of political leaders and celebrities using private hackers. According to Kaushik Reddy, the alleged surveillance extended to 118 MLAs, 40 MLCs, and 23 MPs, as well as public figures from various industries.

In a joint press appearance with Dr. K. Sanjay, Kaushik Reddy claimed, “These are not accusations — these are facts. Revanth Reddy even tapped the phones of women participating in the Miss World contest.”

Reddy further revealed that he had filed a complaint with police on December 5, 2023, alleging that his and his wife’s phones were being tapped, but no FIR has been registered so far.

As of now, neither CM Revanth Reddy nor the Congress party has issued any official response to the explosive claims made by the BRS legislator.

It’s worth noting that Padi Kaushik Reddy was recently in the headlines himself when he was arrested by Telangana police on extortion charges on June 22. He was released on bail after spending nearly 18 hours in custody.

The episode marks a new low in the state’s political discourse, blurring the lines between political debate and personal vendetta — raising concerns about privacy, governance ethics, and the level of hostility that now defines Telangana’s political arena.
