While a couple was caught having sex in a cemetery in Florida, an Indian-origin pastor was shot dead in Kansas. The two incidents are separate but came to light on the same day and became a topic of discussion on social media.
A case of ‘private moment’ in a cemetery
On March 26, police in Webster City, Florida, found a couple having sexual activity on top of a grave. Yes, a cemetery! Joseph Luke Brown (38) and Stephanie Wegman (46) parked their car near the closed gate of the cemetery and walked to a secluded spot at the back. But their “privacy” didn’t last long – the police caught them red-handed.
As the police searched their car, drugs like methamphetamine, Xanax and oxycodone were recovered. Stephanie was arrested for possession of drugs, while Joseph was taken to hospital with a leg injury. Now the police are trying to find out why the cemetery was chosen? Was it just an ‘adventure’ or something more?
Community mourns murder of Indian-origin priest in Kansas
On the other hand, a very sad news came from Seneca city of Kansas. Father Arul Karsala, priest of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, was shot dead. Church Archbishop Joseph Nauman confirmed the incident on Facebook and wrote, “We lost a beloved priest, leader and friend.”
Father Arul was ordained a priest in India in 1994 and had been serving in the US since 2004. He became an American citizen in 2011 and had been serving the church in Seneca since then. His murder has shocked the local community.
