Vishwa Brahmarishi Brahmin Mahasabha Encourages Larger Families with Gold and Silver Honors

The Vishwa Brahmarishi Brahmin Mahasabha has announced a unique initiative to honor Brahmin families for expanding their households. Families with three children will be awarded a silver medal, while those with four children will receive a gold medal. This decision was revealed during a recent meeting of the Mahasabha.

BK Sharma Hanuman, the Peethadheeshwar of the Mahasabha, emphasized the declining population of Brahmins and the need to ensure their growth to preserve Sanatan traditions. As part of the initiative, mothers giving birth will be provided with essential nutritional items such as wheat flour, gum, makhana, dry coconut powder, cashews, almonds, and dry ginger. Additional items, including celery, desi ghee, jaggery, and melon seeds, will also be distributed to support maternal health.

The meeting was attended by notable figures, including Founder Vice President Pt. RC Sharma, Vineet Kumar Sharma, Yogesh Dutt Gaur, Lokesh Kaushik, Brij Kishore Sharma, and District President Ankit Sharma.

This initiative aligns with concerns raised earlier by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat. In December 2024, Bhagwat highlighted the importance of maintaining a sustainable population growth rate. He warned that if the growth rate of any community drops below 2.1%, it risks natural decline without external intervention. Bhagwat emphasized the necessity of having at least three children per family to sustain societal stability and growth.
