Rampur, Uttar Pradesh – August 7, 2025: A deeply disturbing and tragic case has emerged from Rampur, where a young man allegedly fell in love with his biological aunt and ultimately took his own life after facing opposition from family members.
A Forbidden Relationship Spanning Five Years
The deceased, identified as Vijay Pal, had reportedly been in a relationship with his paternal aunt for the past five years. According to family members, the relationship defied social and familial norms and had become a source of growing concern.
Family sources claim that Vijay had become emotionally and financially dependent on his aunt. He frequently stayed at her house and was said to have spent most of his money on her. Despite the taboo nature of the relationship, both individuals were reportedly emotionally involved.
“She Had Complete Control Over Him,” Claims Family
Relatives of the deceased stated that Vijay had become increasingly detached from his immediate family and listened only to his aunt. “He stayed at her house most of the time and stopped caring about anything else,” one family member said. “She had a strong influence over him.”
They also allege that despite the inappropriate nature of the relationship, the aunt showed no remorse following Vijay’s death. “She didn’t even express sorrow after he died, even though they were together for five years,” claimed a relative.
The Final Hours: A Tragic End
According to Vijay’s father, the young man returned home on Sunday night, only to leave again the next day with his aunt. Later that evening, he came back and consumed poison. As his condition worsened, family members attempted to rush him to the hospital, but he reportedly refused treatment, saying, “She’s mine. I won’t go to the hospital unless she comes.”
Vijay succumbed to the poison shortly after, leaving the entire community in shock.
Police Investigation Underway
Milak police station in-charge, Inspector Nisha Khatana, confirmed that a formal complaint has been lodged by the deceased’s father. “We have received the complaint and are currently investigating all aspects of the case. Appropriate legal action will be taken after the inquiry,” she said.
