Vivo V50 Launch in India: Vivo launched its V40 smartphone in India in August last year. Now, the company is preparing to introduce its successor, the Vivo V50, according to reliable tipster Abhishek Yadav. Interestingly, the company is reportedly skipping the release of a Pro model this time.
Retains Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC
The Vivo V50 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, a decision that aligns with Vivo’s strategy, as the Vivo S20 model in China already uses the same chipset. For reference, the Vivo V30, launched earlier in 2024, also relied on this powerful processor.

Variants and Color Options
The Vivo V50 is rumored to launch with the same storage configurations as its predecessor, the V40. These include:
- 8GB + 128GB
- 8GB + 256GB
- 12GB + 512GB
Additionally, it will reportedly be available in four vibrant colors: Blue, Rose, Red, and Grey.
Display and Camera Details
The V50 might sport a 6.67-inch 1.5K flat AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, similar to the Vivo S20. On the camera front, it is likely to feature 50MP sensors for both the front and rear cameras with advanced ZEISS Optics. However, the absence of a Pro model raises questions about the inclusion of a telephoto lens in this lineup.
Battery and Durability
While the Vivo S20 boasts a massive 6500mAh battery, the V50 might come with a slightly smaller 6000mAh battery utilizing Carbon-Silicon technology. The phone is also expected to have IP68 water and dust resistance, making it a robust choice for consumers.
Vivo V50 Launch in India
The Vivo V50 is anticipated to make its debut in India next month, in February 2025. This launch could set the stage for yet another successful addition to Vivo’s V-series lineup.
