“Rejecting my love, now you will see my revenge…” — this time this dialogue is not from a film, but became a part of a young woman’s real life story. The setback in love changed her so much that the security agencies of the whole country were shaken by her steps. Chennai’s promising engineer Rene Josilda has been arrested by the police, who is accused of sending more than 21 fake bomb threats across the country.
When she was rejected in love, she became a technical ‘terror’
Rene was working at a high position in an MNC and was also an expert in robotics. She fell in one-sided love with her colleague Divij Prabhakar. But when Divij married someone else in February 2025, Rene’s heart was broken. This broken heart soon took the form of revenge and she created a fake email ID in Prabhakar’s name and started sending bomb threats.
Threat was due to the cleverness of technology
Between May and June 2025, Rene spread fake news of bombs being planted in 12 states like Delhi, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Punjab, Bihar, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Haryana. He used the dark web and virtual ID to dodge the police. But finally the cyber team of the police identified him and arrested him from Chennai.
Sent a terrifying email after the plane crash
After an Air India plane crash, when there was a commotion in Gujarat’s BJ Medical College, Rene sent an email:
“Now you must have realized our strength. As we warned yesterday, today the plane crashed. We were not joking.”
Although the plane crash happened due to technical reasons, Rene tried to create an atmosphere of fear by taking credit for it himself.
One-sided love became a national threat
Police, intelligence agencies and cyber experts from 12 states of the country jointly investigated against Rene. It took a lot of time to track him, but technical clues finally revealed the truth. Now Rene has been produced in the court and a case has been registered against him under several serious sections.
