Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam has suggested Rahul Gandhi to join the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) shakha for a month to understand it better. Criticising Rahul Gandhi, Krishnam said that when he could not understand the ideologies of Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Nehru, Indira Gandhi and even Rajiv Gandhi, how will he understand the RSS.
In a video, Krishnam also mentioned that some Congress leaders believe that handing over the leadership of the Congress to Rahul Gandhi was part of a conspiracy, possibly with the influence of foreign powers. He emphasised that the RSS looks at the nation as a whole, not specific castes, classes, states or religions, and is dedicated to nation-building. He also pointed out that even Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had praised the RSS.
Krishnam reiterated his suggestion saying that Rahul Gandhi needs to attend the RSS shakha to truly understand the organisation.
