Today, the festival of Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid) is being celebrated across the country with great enthusiasm. In Chandausi, a town in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal district, local authorities remained on high alert due to the large turnout of worshippers.
Around 6 a.m., a massive crowd gathered at the Chhoti Eidgah (small prayer ground) in Chandausi for morning prayers. However, the number of attendees exceeded expectations, leading many worshippers to spill over into the nearby roads in an attempt to offer prayers.
At this point, Circle Officer (CO) Anuj Chaudhary, who was stationed at the site, promptly took control of the situation. As people began assembling on the road, CO Chaudhary swiftly intervened and firmly requested them not to pray on the streets. He appealed to the crowd and directed them towards the nearby Badi Eidgah (larger prayer ground), where additional arrangements had been made.
CO Anuj Chaudhary later informed that prayers were also underway at the Badi Eidgah at 7 a.m., providing an alternative for those who couldn’t find space at the smaller venue. Thanks to his timely response and effective crowd management, no one offered prayers on the roads, ensuring smooth traffic flow and maintaining public order throughout the event.
