Vi’s new move: Unlimited 5G data for ₹299, will Jio get tough competition?

New Delhi – A new bet has been played in India’s telecom market! Ever since Vi (Vodafone Idea) launched its 5G services, the company has been offering attractive plans one after the other to attract customers. In this episode, Vi has launched an internet plan which is reminiscent of the old days, when Jio created a stir in the market by distributing unlimited data in its launch.

Unmatched 5G experience for ₹299: Vi’s new offer

Vi has come up with a very cheap and attractive unlimited 5G plan for its new 5G customers. Under this plan, those who have a 5G-enabled phone and are in Vi’s 5G coverage area will enjoy unlimited 5G internet on a recharge of just ₹299. That is, now you can use as much high-speed internet as you want without worrying about the data limit.

This offer is for all Vi customers who recharge with any plan of Rs 299 or more. This also includes plans of Rs 349, Rs 365, Rs 579, Rs 649, Rs 859, Rs 979 and Rs 3,599. All these plans get different validity, which means that to enjoy unlimited 5G for a longer period, you will have to choose a more expensive plan, but it starts from just ₹ 299.

Terms apply, but benefits abound

There are only two basic conditions to take advantage of this great unlimited 5G: you must have a 5G smartphone and you must be in an area with Vi’s 5G network coverage. As long as you are in 5G coverage, you will be able to use high-speed 5G internet without interruption. This move comes at a time when Vi is trying its best to strengthen its hold in the market and compete with Jio and Airtel.

Vi 5G service is available in these cities

The company has recently launched its 5G services in 23 cities including Lucknow, Agra and Meerut. Earlier, Vi’s 5G services have also been rolled out in major cities like Delhi-NCR, Patna, Chandigarh.

In the coming time, Vi’s 5G services are also going to reach cities like Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Kozhikode, Cochin, Dehradun, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Madurai, Malappuram, Nagpur, Nashik, Pune, Rajkot, Sonipat, Surat, Siliguri, Trivandrum, Vadodara and Visakhapatnam (Vizag). Vi has 5G spectrum available for 17 cities, and the company wants to expand its services by using them as soon as possible.

It will be interesting to see how much this aggressive unlimited 5G plan of Vi attracts customers and what kind of new equations it creates in the telecom market. Will this strategy be able to establish Vi as a strong contender in the market again? Only time will tell.
