Trump Embarrassed at G7 Summit After Overstepping in Canada

Ottawa, Canada:
Former U.S. President Donald Trump once again found himself at the center of controversy — this time at the G7 Summit held in Canada — after an unscripted moment that led to diplomatic awkwardness and personal embarrassment.

During a formal session where each leader was allotted just two minutes to present their national agenda, Trump allegedly veered off track, treating the opportunity more like a personal press conference than a concise policy statement. According to inside sources, instead of addressing the agenda, Trump began boasting about unrelated geopolitical issues — including claims about ceasefire efforts between India and Pakistan — which were reportedly exaggerated and potentially sensitive.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who was presiding over the meeting, appeared visibly uncomfortable with the direction of Trump’s remarks. Recognizing the potential for diplomatic fallout — particularly with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was attending virtually — Trudeau swiftly intervened.

In a firm yet diplomatic tone, Trudeau reminded the attendees,

“As chair, it is my responsibility to conduct this session. If there are any questions, they should be directed to me.”
With that, he politely cut Trump off and redirected the floor, signaling the end of the impromptu speech.

Observers at the summit described the moment as “tense but necessary,” with several leaders reportedly appreciating Trudeau’s timely intervention. The incident once again sparked conversation about Trump’s unpredictable behavior on the international stage and the importance of maintaining decorum in high-level diplomatic forums.

While Trump has yet to issue a formal response, the episode has already become a talking point among political commentators and media outlets, many of whom view it as a classic example of Trump’s disregard for protocol — and the consequences that often follow.
