Adani Energy Solutions Secures Rs 25,000 Crore Bhadla-Fatehpur HVDC Project, Marking a Major Milestone

On Tuesday, renowned industrialist Gautam Adani made a visit to the Maha Kumbh, where he personally prepared food and served it to the people. This was a day of significance for the Adani Group, as a major development unfolded.

Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL), part of the Adani Group, has been awarded the prestigious Bhadla-Fatehpur HVDC project, valued at Rs 25,000 crore. This contract marks the largest order the company has ever received.

In a statement issued to the stock market on Tuesday, AESL shared that the project involves transmitting six gigawatts of renewable energy from Bhadla in Rajasthan to various locations in Northern India.

AESL further stated that this major project, spanning from Bhadla in Rajasthan to Fatehpur in Uttar Pradesh, has significantly bolstered its order book, bringing the total to Rs 54,761 crore.

The company described the acquisition of this project as a milestone, noting that the goal is to complete it within a span of four and a half years.

AESL won this project through the fee-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process. While the agreement was finalized on January 20, 2025, the company officially announced it to the stock market today.
