Folk singer Neha Singh Rathore, who has been vocal in criticizing the Indian government following the Pahalgam terrorist attack, is now facing a wave of online reactions after she appeared to change her tone post Operation Sindoor, India’s military response against terror camps in Pakistan.
From Criticism to Patriotism
After Indian forces carried out strikes across the Line of Control under the codename Operation Sindoor, Neha took to X (formerly Twitter) with patriotic posts. In one tweet, she wrote:
“Bharatiya Sena Zindabad, Jai Hind!”
In another, she commented:
“Now you’ve seen the power of a pinch of sindoor, terrorists!”
Interestingly, while she praised the army, she stopped short of acknowledging or applauding the government’s role, a detail that hasn’t gone unnoticed by netizens.

Users Question Her Sudden Shift
Her posts invited a mixed reaction online. Some users supported her, while others accused her of hypocrisy.
- Karan Yadav tweeted, “Must have been really hard for you to write that.”
- Dr. Richa Rajput added, “Ask questions! That’s your right.”
- Another user, Swati Tiwari, wrote, “Oh, what happened now? Fever hit you? Weren’t you the one asking what religion was asked before killing? You called it Modi’s propaganda. Just wait, next targets will be those in India whose hearts beat for Pakistan. The airstrikes aren’t over yet.”
Earlier Accusations of Anti-National Sentiments
Neha Singh Rathore had previously criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bihar visit, calling it politically motivated. On the day of the Pahalgam attack, she tweeted that the attack itself was government propaganda. She even released a video critical of the PM, which was reportedly circulated in Pakistan, further fueling the controversy.
Her remarks led to FIRs being filed against her in multiple states. Some even labeled her anti-national for allegedly echoing narratives favorable to India’s enemies.
Despite the backlash, Neha has neither retracted her past criticisms nor praised the government directly for the operation, choosing instead to show support only for the armed forces.
