BSNL Discontinues Popular Recharge Plans: What You Need to Know

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), India’s government-run telecom provider, is known for offering affordable and user-friendly recharge plans. With an aim to provide users with the best possible services, BSNL has gained popularity for its cost-effective solutions, often offering benefits that rival those of private telecom companies. Recently, the company introduced a new recharge plan for its users, but along with this, it has made the decision to discontinue three older, well-loved plans. This change may come as a disappointment to many BSNL customers.

The Discontinued Plans

BSNL has announced the discontinuation of three major recharge plans. These include the Rs 201, Rs 797, and Rs 2999 plans, all of which offered valuable services with long validity periods. A BSNL customer shared a screenshot on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), revealing the company’s notification about the termination of these plans.

The Rs 201 plan offered a validity of 90 days, along with 300 minutes of calling and 6GB of data. The Rs 797 plan provided 2GB of data per day, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day, all with a validity of 300 days. The Rs 2999 plan, designed for long-term users, included 365 days of validity, unlimited calling, 3GB of high-speed daily data, and 100 SMS per day.

The Best Alternative for BSNL Users

If you’re concerned about finding a suitable replacement for these discontinued plans, there’s good news. You can consider BSNL’s Rs 628 recharge plan, which offers 84 days of validity. This plan provides 3GB of data per day, free national roaming, and several other perks. Additionally, the Rs 628 plan includes free subscriptions to a variety of exclusive OTT and entertainment services, such as Hardy Games, Challenger Arena Games, Gameon, Wow Entertainment, and BSNL Tunes.

With this plan, users can enjoy a comprehensive package of services to meet their telecom and entertainment needs, even as the older plans are phased out.
