The winter chill persists in several parts of North India, with heavy snowfall covering the higher-altitude regions of mountainous states. The temperatures in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu and Kashmir have plummeted to sub-zero levels, resulting in widespread snowfall. However, the weather dynamics in Delhi-NCR have started to shift, bringing some relief from the extreme cold witnessed in early January.

Clear Weather Expected on Sunday and Monday

As per the Meteorological Department, Sunday is anticipated to witness a minimum temperature of 9 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 23 degrees Celsius. The skies will remain clear throughout the day, accompanied by ample sunshine. Similar conditions are expected on Monday, with bright and sunny weather prevailing across the region.

Rain Alert Issued for Delhi-NCR

Post-Monday, Delhi-NCR is likely to experience a significant weather transition. Cloud cover is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday (February 3 and February 5), with the possibility of rainfall at multiple locations. During this period, the minimum temperature is predicted to be around 11 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature will hover around 23 degrees Celsius.

Rain Likely in Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh

According to the Meteorological Department, the hill states of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are expected to receive rainfall between February 3 and February 5. Additionally, various districts of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh are also likely to experience intermittent showers.

Weather to Clear After Rainfall

Forecasts indicate that the cloudy conditions will persist for two days, followed by a clear spell. Post-rainfall, the skies are expected to clear, allowing bright sunshine to return, as confirmed by the Meteorological Department.
