Delhi Assembly Election Result 2025: Suvendu Adhikari’s Warning to Mamata Banerjee

Following the BJP’s significant victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, West Bengal BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari issued a strong warning to Mamata Banerjee on Saturday (February 8), stating, “Look, next is your turn.”

BJP’s Triumph in Delhi Sets the Stage for Bengal 2026

After the BJP’s victory was confirmed, Suvendu Adhikari spoke to reporters, expressing his delight. He emphasized that this win marks a turning point, stating, “Delhi’s victory is ours, and Bengal will follow suit in 2026.”

A Historic Win for BJP

Adhikari described the BJP’s landslide victory in Delhi as a historic and crucial moment for the nation. He claimed that this triumph signifies the end of corruption and deceitful politics. He accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of failing the people by engaging in corruption and breaking their promises, a sentiment echoed by Delhi voters through their verdict.

Delhi’s Development Stalled Under AAP

Addressing the state of governance in Delhi, Adhikari asserted that as the capital of India, Delhi should have been transformed into a world-class city. However, he blamed AAP for failing to achieve this vision. He pointed out that while the Modi government successfully developed infrastructure projects like the Yamuna Expressway, the Delhi government failed to maintain and expand these developments.

Bengali Voters’ Support for BJP

Adhikari further claimed that over 90 percent of Bengali voters backed the BJP, reinforcing their faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Criticizing AAP, he accused the party of exploiting religious sentiments only during elections, calling it a mere political gimmick.

He alleged that the Kejriwal-led government provided free electricity and water to illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya immigrants in Delhi by issuing them Aadhaar and voter ID cards. He argued that this poses a severe threat to national security and further accused Kejriwal of supporting anti-national activities, similar to Mamata Banerjee’s rule in West Bengal.

Time for Political Change in Bengal

According to Adhikari, the political climate in West Bengal is shifting, and a significant change is imminent. He predicted that, similar to Delhi, a strong wave of support for BJP will emerge in Bengal, paving the way for a nationalist government. He urged the Election Commission and the central government to ensure fair elections in the state, preventing electoral malpractices and the alleged misuse of police forces by the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government.

Allegations Against the Bengal Government

Adhikari accused the West Bengal police of falsely implicating BJP leaders and workers in fabricated cases. However, he asserted that the people of Bengal are now fully prepared to support the BJP in its mission to oust the Trinamool Congress in the 2026 elections. He emphasized that Bengal, the land of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Swami Vivekananda, will not tolerate forces that act against national interests.
