Shantanu arrives at the venue before the padayatra begins and sells flowers to devotees waiting in line. These flowers are used for offerings and decorations along the yatra route. Through this initiative, he manages to earn a steady income to sustain his family.
A Lucrative Business in a Few Hours
Shantanu revealed, “I reach here every night at around 10:00 PM and sell flower packets until about 1:00 AM. On average, I sell around 100 packets daily.”
Each flower packet is priced at ₹50, making this a profitable venture. Sometimes, he sells more than 100 packets, while on other occasions, the numbers may be slightly lower. The large gathering of devotees ensures a consistent demand for flowers, which contributes to his earnings.
