Bollywood’s famous producer and choreographer Farah Khan has now made objectionable comments about Hindu festivals. She has given a statement about Holi and has called Holi a festival of Chhapris. After this statement of hers, anger is being seen among the people and she is also being accused of hurting religious sentiments. Not only this, a complaint has also been lodged against Farah Khan.
Hindustani Bhau lodged a complaint
Vikas Phatak, who is known by the name of Hindustani Bhau, has filed this petition through his lawyer Ali Kashif Khan Deshmukh. According to the information received from the media, this case was registered in the Kar police station on Friday itself, in which a demand was made to take legal action against Farah Khan for the controversial statement made during an episode of the television show Reality Masterchef on February 20.
Hurt feelings
The complaint also claims that Farah Khan has described Holi as the festival of Chhapris and this word is widely considered to be very derogatory. Hindustani Bhau has also said in his complaint that Khan’s comment has hurt his personal religious sentiments and the feelings of the Hindu community.
Advocate Deshmukh has said that my client says that such a comment by Farah Khan has insulted the religious sentiments of Hindus. The use of the word Chhapri to describe this holy festival is extremely inappropriate and it is also likely to create communal tension.
