A shameful incident has recently come to light on a major highway in Uttarakhand, which has raised serious questions about road safety and women’s dignity. Three youths in a semi-nude state – Devendra, Rahul and Nikhil – made obscene gestures to a female bike rider and harassed her.
As soon as the video of the incident went viral on social media, the police swung into action and arrested the three accused by taking prompt action. According to the police, the three youths were in a drunken state and were creating a ruckus on the highway. The female rider bravely recorded the video of the incident, which helped as evidence.

The Superintendent of Police (SP) said, “Women’s safety is our top priority. Such anti-social elements will not be spared at any cost. A case has been registered against the three youths under various sections of the IPC.”
