Pune-based automaker has unveiled India’s first solar-powered electric four-wheeler, marking a breakthrough in the country’s green mobility sector. The compact vehicle can travel up to 250 kilometers on a single charge and has been designed to recharge quickly — offering a 50 km run with just five minutes of charging and achieving a full charge within 15 minutes.
The vehicle comes equipped with dual digital touch displays, a seating capacity for three passengers, and an advanced system that allows the battery to charge while in motion using solar energy. This feature makes it highly efficient for daily commuters and eco-conscious users.
Interestingly, while the company is branding it as a solar electric car, it is built in a three-wheeler format. The design incorporates roof-mounted solar panels paired with a large lithium-ion battery pack, enhancing both efficiency and sustainability.
In terms of performance, the vehicle is powered by a high-performance electric motor capable of reaching a top speed of 70 km/h. Additional features include a mini refrigerator, catering to the comfort and convenience of urban users.
One of the biggest highlights is its affordable pricing. The company has announced a starting price of ₹3.25 lakh, making it nearly as affordable as a premium motorcycle. To attract early adopters, the firm is offering an exclusive introductory booking price of just ₹90,000, available only for the first 10 customers. Bookings are now open through the company’s official website.
With its combination of solar charging, quick recharging technology, and budget-friendly pricing, this vehicle could emerge as a game-changer in India’s electric mobility market.
