Woman Kills Husband with Lover’s Help
A shocking murder case has come to light in Telangana, where a woman conspired with her lover to kill her husband. However, the crime was exposed when the victim’s mother identified her real son, leading to the unraveling of the case. The 27-year-old woman devised a sinister plan to eliminate her husband and replace him with her lover, but an unexpected twist involving mutton soup played a key role in solving the mystery.
The Murder and Cover-Up
Telangana Police arrested M Swati, a 27-year-old nurse at a private hospital in Nagarkurnool, after she admitted to killing her husband, Sudhakar Reddy, with the help of her lover, Rajesh. Swati and Sudhakar had been married for three years and had a child together. However, she grew close to physiotherapist Rajesh, with whom she plotted the gruesome crime.
On November 27, Swati and Rajesh rendered Sudhakar unconscious before brutally murdering him by hitting him on the head. They then disposed of his body by burning it in a forested area. To cover up their crime, they disfigured Rajesh’s face with acid, took him to the hospital for plastic surgery, and passed him off as Sudhakar. Swati then informed Sudhakar’s family that he had been attacked by unknown assailants.
Mutton Soup Unmasks the Crime
The truth began to surface when Rajesh, posing as Sudhakar, was served mutton soup in the hospital. He refused to eat it, claiming to be a vegetarian. This raised suspicion among Sudhakar’s family, as the real Sudhakar was known to be a staunch non-vegetarian who loved mutton soup. The family’s doubts grew stronger when they noticed significant changes in Rajesh’s behavior, prompting them to inform the police.
Fingerprints Confirm the Deception
Police launched an investigation and cross-checked Rajesh’s fingerprints with the Aadhaar database, revealing that they did not match Sudhakar’s records. Confronted with evidence, Swati broke down and confessed to murdering her husband with Rajesh’s help. Their elaborate scheme had fallen apart due to a seemingly insignificant detail—mutton soup.
Arrests and Legal Proceedings
Deputy Superintendent of Police A Lakshmi Narayan stated, “Rajesh is still undergoing treatment, so we have not yet arrested him. However, Swati has already been taken into custody. The full details of the case will be presented in court.”
The family’s suspicions, coupled with discrepancies in Rajesh’s habits and knowledge of Sudhakar’s personal details, played a crucial role in exposing the crime. This case serves as a reminder that even the most meticulously planned crimes can be undone by small, overlooked details.
