NIA investigating Pahalgam attack, questioning suspected photographer

The investigation has been intensified to get to the bottom of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Now the matter has been handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the agency has started its investigation. According to information received from sources, in the initial investigation, the NIA has found a person who was making photos and videos at the spot at the time of the incident. The agency is currently questioning the same person in detail.

According to sources, the investigating agency is trying to find out whether this person is a local resident or came with a tourist. Also, it is being ascertained how many visual records related to the incident are present with him and whether some important clues may be hidden in them.

Eyewitnesses will be questioned

NIA is now planning to question all those persons who were present there at the time of the attack. These will also include those who were injured, whose family members were affected or who managed to get out safely.

The footage available with the tourists will also be part of the investigation

The investigating agency intends to contact all the tourists who were present in Pahalgam at that time in the coming days. If they have any videos or photos, they will also be included in the investigation so that the correct timeline of the incident and the terrorist activities can be analyzed.

Efforts to trace the activities of terrorists

The NIA investigation is also moving forward in the direction of where the attackers were first seen, from which direction they came and in which direction they were seen leaving after carrying out the incident. Also, it is being investigated whether any of their local associates were also present at the spot at that time.

It is worth noting that the NIA team had reached Pahalgam within a few hours of the incident, but the case was formally handed over to the agency on the night of Saturday, 26 April. After this, by registering an FIR, the NIA has further accelerated the direction of the investigation. Meanwhile, all the facts and documents collected by the Jammu and Kashmir Police in its initial investigation have now been handed over to the NIA, and the agency is closely investigating the case from every angle.
