Nushrratt Bharuccha Opens Up About Faith Beyond Religion

Popular actress Nushrratt Bharuccha has always been candid, and in a heartfelt interview, she spoke openly about her spiritual beliefs and relationship with religion.

Though Nushrratt is a Muslim by faith, she embraces all religions and draws strength from various spiritual practices.

“I’ve observed countless Novenas. I’ve even kept fasts for Santoshi Maa and followed the ritual of 16 Fridays,” she shared.

A Spiritual Journey Across Shrines

“I’ve trekked all the way to Vaishno Devi, a 13-kilometer climb, and returned the very next day after having her darshan. The experience was deeply moving,” Nushrratt recalled.

She added, “Visiting Kedarnath and Badrinath brought me a sense of peace I can’t describe. I felt drawn to the energy there and went with the intention of receiving blessings.”

Between Mosque, Temple, and Church

Revealing more about her spiritual routine, she said, “I used to visit Mahim Church and light candles. I offer namaz too—whenever possible, I try to pray five times a day. It brings me a deep sense of calm.”

Nushrratt confidently expressed that public opinion doesn’t affect her personal beliefs:
“People who troll me don’t bother me. I’ll go to temples and I’ll offer namaz. My faith is my personal journey.”

A Name That Brought a Turning Point

In a final revelation, she shared, “In 2020, I made a slight change to the spelling of my name. Since then, I’ve completed nine films back-to-back. It’s been a transformative phase.”
