The Pakistan government is engaged in deceiving its people after the defeat from India, and under this, ‘Jashn-e-Pakistan’ rallies are being organized across the country. But when this rally was organized in Balochistan, the Baloch Army protested against it and attacked the entire rally.
On Wednesday, this rally organized by the Pakistan government in Quetta was targeted by the Baloch Army with a powerful explosion and firing. One person died in this attack and at least ten people were injured.
Death and injured in explosion and firing
Police informed that the rally was going from Sariab Customs towards the city, when it was suddenly attacked near Munir Mengal Road. The attackers threw a grenade and then opened fire on the people involved in the rally. After the attack, the security forces immediately cordoned off the area.
The injured were treated at the Civil Hospital and Bolan Medical Complex in Quetta. Where, a person named Mehboob Ali died during treatment in the hospital.
Baloch Army’s protest against Pakistan government
This attack is a strong message of the Baloch Army against the Pakistan government. The Baloch Army carried out this attack over its increasing activism and influence in Balochistan. Their resentment against the Pakistan government and the army has now become completely clear.
The ‘Jashn-e-Pakistan’ rally was led by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) member Ali Madad Jatak, and was also attended by Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti. But, due to security reasons, the Chief Minister left the venue after giving his speech.
Investigation continues, instability increased in Balochistan
After the attack, Pakistan’s Counter Terrorism Department and Quetta Police have started investigating the matter. Balochistan Health Department spokesman Dr. Wasim Beg said that ten people were injured in the attack, most of whom are men aged 20 to 50 years, who have suffered injuries from shrapnel and bullets.
Amid rising tensions between Pakistan and India, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has further strengthened its hold and is now carrying out frequent attacks. This growing period of instability in Balochistan is becoming a cause of concern for the Pakistan government.
