PhD Scholar Dr. Rohini Ghavari Accuses MP Chandrashekhar Azad of Exploitation, Vows to Seek Justice

Dr. Rohini Ghavari, a PhD scholar, has publicly accused Chandrashekhar Azad, founder of Bhim Army and Member of Parliament from the Nagina constituency, of abuse and personal exploitation. The allegations came to light through a social media post on platform X, where Rohini shared her story and called for justice—not only for herself but for all women who have suffered similarly.

“I’m Victim Number 3”: Rohini’s Public Statement

In her post, Rohini claimed to be the third victim of exploitation at the hands of Chandrashekhar and his family. “What happened to the other girl also happened to me. I will now ensure that every daughter gets justice,” she wrote. Rohini is the daughter of a sanitation worker employed at a government hospital in Indore. In 2019, she went to Switzerland for higher studies, where she eventually connected with Chandrashekhar. The two were in a relationship for nearly three years.

Trouble Began Before General Elections

According to Rohini, tensions between the two began to surface before the recent general elections. She had raised concerns about his behavior back then as well. She now recalls June 3, 2021, as a deeply unfortunate day—the beginning of their relationship. Rohini, who was associated with the International Labour Organization, aimed to amplify the voices of sanitation workers globally. Her background as the daughter of a sanitation worker made her especially passionate about this cause.

A Relationship That Lasted Nearly Four Years

At the time, Chandrashekhar was widely respected within the Valmiki community and seen as a promising leader for the Bahujan cause. Rohini, uninterested in fame, wanted to support someone who could bring real change. Their shared ideology brought them together. For over three and a half years, they were in a committed relationship—personally and professionally aligned, or so she believed.

A Sudden Shift in Behavior

Rohini expressed her confusion and heartbreak over the sudden transformation in Chandrashekhar’s attitude. “He was once deeply committed. I chose this relationship believing we would grow the social movement together. I was involved in every major decision, including the selection of the Nagina constituency,” she explained. But after November 2023, about six months before he became an MP, everything changed. His attitude shifted drastically, and she felt completely sidelined.

“I Was Used and Then Discarded”

Looking back, Rohini now believes she was used for political gain. “He once told me that if he failed in politics, he would come to Switzerland. But now it feels like my entire life was manipulated. I was thriving in Switzerland, but after meeting him, I dedicated myself to activism. I disconnected entirely from that life, believing we were building something meaningful. And then, suddenly, I was thrown aside,” she said.

“This Is an Attack on My Dignity – I Will Fight Back”

In a powerful statement, Rohini vowed to take a stand. “This is a wound to my dignity. I will fight back. I remained silent because my mother told me God’s justice is stronger than ours. But now, I will not let someone like him continue to exploit the Dalit and Valmiki communities. I may have to get my hands dirty, but I will stop this damage to our society.”

Launch of ‘Jan Power Foundation’

Rohini clarified she has no political ambitions. Instead, she wants to bring awareness and change through her non-profit initiative, Jan Power Foundation. The foundation focuses on education, offering guidance to students after high school for entrance into prestigious institutions like IIT, IIM, and UPSC. So far, over 10,000 people have joined her mission via social media. On June 1, she also launched the Jan Power mobile app. The foundation even has a team operating out of Geneva, Switzerland.

No Response From Chandrashekhar Azad

Following Rohini’s public accusations, her posts have gone viral, sparking intense debate on social media. While many users have commented on the issue, Chandrashekhar Azad has refused to speak on the matter and has not released any official statement.
