PNB NIRMAAN 2025 Campaign: Big Relief on Home and Auto Loans for Customers

If you’re planning to take a loan from Punjab National Bank (PNB), there’s good news for you. The bank has recently launched a special campaign called PNB NIRMAAN 2025 aimed at making home and car loans more accessible and affordable. With this initiative, PNB intends to attract more borrowers by offering several customer-friendly benefits and concessions.

Key Highlights of the PNB Nirman 2025 Campaign

Under this campaign, PNB is waiving off processing and documentation charges on housing and car loans. Additionally, if a customer wants to transfer an existing home loan from another bank to PNB, there will be no Non-Encumbrance Certificate (NEC) fee.

To make it even more attractive, PNB is offering a concession of 5 basis points (bps) on the interest rate, providing further financial relief to borrowers.

  • The campaign is available through all PNB branches as well as digital channels like the PNB One mobile app and the official PNB website.

Repo-Linked Lending Rate (RLLR) Reduced

In line with this campaign, PNB has also reduced its Repo Linked Lending Rate (RLLR) from 8.90% to 8.65%, effective from April 10, 2025.

RLLR is the rate at which banks lend money for retail loans, and it is directly linked to the RBI’s repo rate. Following an RBI mandate from October 2019, banks are required to connect their lending rates to external benchmarks like the repo rate, making interest rates more transparent and market-driven.

Robust Growth in Loans and Deposits

Punjab National Bank has shown strong performance in the March quarter of 2025. As per the bank’s data:

  • Loan book grew by 13.6%, reaching ₹11.17 lakh crore, compared to ₹9.83 lakh crore at the end of March 2024.
  • Total deposits also increased by 14.3%, reaching ₹15.65 lakh crore from ₹13.69 lakh crore in the previous year.
  • The overall business volume of the bank grew by 14%, touching ₹26.83 lakh crore compared to ₹23.53 lakh crore in the same period last year.
