RAC Passengers in AC Coaches to Get Full Bedroll Facility

Passengers traveling with RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation) tickets in AC coaches will now enjoy full bedroll facilities, just like those with confirmed tickets. Previously, two RAC passengers shared a single bedroll, often leading to discomfort and disputes. However, with the new system in place, each RAC passenger will receive an individual packaged bedroll, containing two bedsheets, a blanket, a pillow, and a towel.

Enhanced Comfort for RAC Travelers

This initiative aims to eliminate discrimination and enhance the travel experience for RAC passengers. Now, they will be able to travel more comfortably and enjoy the same level of service as passengers with confirmed reservations.

Paying Full Fare, Yet Half Facilities? Not Anymore!

RAC ticket holders pay the full ticket price but are only allotted half of a side lower berth. Despite this, they previously did not receive individual bedrolls. The new system ensures that coach attendants provide full bedroll facilities to RAC passengers as soon as they board the train.

What Officials Say

Ashok Kumar, Public Relations Officer (Varanasi), stated:
“RAC passengers will now receive the same facilities as confirmed ticket holders. The coach attendant will provide bedrolls upon arrival at their berth. This change has been implemented to improve passenger satisfaction and convenience.”

Key Facilities Now Available for RAC Passengers

1. Individual Bedrolls for Every Passenger – Unlike earlier, where two RAC passengers shared one set, now each traveler will receive a separate packaged bedroll, including:
   • Bedsheet
   • Pillow
   • Blanket
   • Towel
2. Comfort & Convenience – No more sharing issues or discomfort; all RAC travelers will get equal service like confirmed ticket holders.
