Senior journalist joins BJP before Bihar assembly elections, will play an important role

The excitement of Bihar assembly elections has intensified and all the political parties are busy sharpening their strategy. This time not only politicians but also administrative officers, journalists and film personalities are ready to try their luck in the electoral field. In this sequence, the country’s senior journalist Ravi Tripathi has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Tripathi took membership of the party in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary at the Milan ceremony organized at the BJP state headquarters on Saturday. A day before this, on Friday, he met Home Minister Amit Shah at Punauradham in Sitamarhi and received guidance and blessings.

Will play an active role in the elections

Talking to reporters after the Milan ceremony, Ravi Tripathi said that he will play an active role in the upcoming assembly elections under the leadership of BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal. He described the ideology of the party as in the national interest and said that he is now starting a new journey from journalism to politics.

24 years of journalistic experience

Ravi Tripathi’s name is counted among the senior political journalists of the country. For the last 24 years, he has closely covered the major political activities of the country. Tripathi, who has been a volunteer since childhood, has also been a full-time worker in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

The journey started with student politics

Tripathi entered student politics with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). He was elected student union president in 1996 at Dayal Singh College of Delhi University. In 1998, he also contested for the post of Vice President of Delhi University Students Union (DUSU). He is recognized as a strong voice among the students of Purvanchal in Delhi.
