Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi is once again in controversy. Recently, he gave a controversial statement regarding the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which has spread anger among the people. Meanwhile, an old video of him is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which he is seen getting beaten up by his own countrymen.
What is the truth of the video?
This viral video is from the year 2012. At that time Shahid Afridi was returning from Bangladesh to Karachi. It is said that on March 23, 2012, when he reached Karachi airport from Dhaka, he had an argument with a fan there. The argument escalated so much that Afridi slapped the fan. After this, the anger of the people present there erupted and they beat up Afridi fiercely. It can be seen in the video that he was pushed and slapped several times.
After this incident, Afridi had clarified that he slapped the man because he pushed his daughter Ajwa. He said that being a father, his anger burst out.

Shameful statement on Pahalgam terror attack
On April 22, 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen lost their lives in the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. A Pakistani terrorist organization took the responsibility of this attack. After this incident, Pakistan is being criticized all over the world.
However, Afridi gave a very objectionable statement on this serious issue. Questioning the Indian Army, he said, “If a firecracker explodes in India, the media says that Pakistan did it. You have an army of eight lakh in Kashmir, yet this attack happened, it means you people have failed.”
Indian government’s strictness
Due to Shahid Afridi’s continuous anti-India statements and irresponsible attitude on terrorist attacks, the Indian government has taken a strict stand. The central government has banned Afridi’s channel along with several Pakistani YouTube channels in India.
