To uncover the truth, the STF is reportedly looking into mobile phones in the vicinity of Sangam Nose, where the stampede occurred. Investigators are sifting through data from over 16,000 mobile numbers that were active at the time of the incident. Meanwhile, a judicial commission team is also conducting its own probe into the matter.

The devastating stampede at Sangam Nose resulted in the deaths of 30 people, with 25 victims already identified. In addition, 60 people sustained injuries in the chaos. According to Vaibhav Krishna, DIG of the Mahakumbh Nagar Mela, the tragic incident has left the local authorities and public deeply shaken.
Following the calamity, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. In a gesture of support, he also announced financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh for each of the families who lost a loved one in the stampede.
