Tata Curvv Sales Decline: Attractive Discounts Announced to Boost Sales

Tata Motors’ popular compact SUV, the Tata Curvv, has seen a significant decline in sales. In January 2025, the company sold only 3,087 units of the Curvv, marking the lowest sales figure since its launch. To counter this slump and stimulate sales, Tata Motors has rolled out attractive discounts on both the ICE (petrol-diesel) and EV variants of the Curvv. Let’s take a closer look at the details of these offers.

February 2025 Offers on Tata Curvv (Petrol-Diesel Variants)

If you’re considering purchasing a Tata Curvv, now might be the perfect time. The company is offering a scrappage bonus of up to Rs 20,000 on the MY2025 model, along with an exchange bonus of Rs 13,793. However, customers can avail only one of these two benefits. For those interested in the MY2024 model, the discount is even higher, with a cash discount of Rs 30,000 available. In total, customers could save up to Rs 50,000 when purchasing the vehicle.

Engine Options Available in Tata Curvv

Tata Curvv comes equipped with three engine options, offering a variety of choices for buyers. These include the 1.2L Revotron petrol engine (120 PS/170 Nm), the 1.2L Hyperion petrol engine (125 PS/225 Nm), and the 1.5L diesel engine (118 PS/260 Nm). All variants come with both a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCA automatic transmission, providing customers with flexibility and performance.

Discounts on Tata Curvv EV Models

The company is also offering a scrappage bonus of up to Rs 20,000 on the MY2025 Tata Curvv EV. Additionally, an exchange bonus of Rs 19,048 is available for customers purchasing the EV model. These discounts aim to make the electric variant more attractive to buyers, particularly in light of growing competition in the electric vehicle segment.

Battery Pack Options in Tata Curvv EV

The Tata Curvv EV is available with two battery pack options. The first is a 45kWh battery pack, providing a range of 430 km on a single charge. The second option is a 55kWh battery pack, which offers a range of 502 km. In real-world conditions, these ranges typically fall between 330-425 km, depending on various factors such as driving conditions and terrain.

Rising Competition in the Compact SUV Segment

As new electric vehicles continue to enter the compact SUV market, Tata Motors faces increasing competition. Models like the Maruti eVitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, and Mahindra BE 6 have created a more competitive landscape. Notably, the Mahindra BE 6 set a record with 13,279 bookings on its first day. To remain competitive, Tata Motors will need to continually update and upgrade the Curvv while ensuring it is offered at a competitive price point.
