As electric scooters continue to gain popularity among Indian consumers, major automobile companies are rapidly entering the EV space with new models. One such player is TVS, which recently unveiled the electric version of its popular Jupiter scooter at the 2025 Auto Mobility event. With its official launch just around the corner, here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming TVS Jupiter Electric Scooter.
Battery and Performance
The electric Jupiter is equipped with a 2.44 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, delivering an impressive range of up to 200 kilometers on a single charge. It also features a 4 kW BLDC motor, enabling the scooter to reach a top speed of 85 km/h.
In addition, the scooter supports fast charging technology, allowing it to charge from 0% to 80% in just 30 minutes, making it ideal for daily commutes and short trips.
Features and Technology
TVS has packed the electric Jupiter with a range of modern features, including:
- A fully digital TFT touchscreen dashboard
- Smartphone connectivity and GPS navigation
- USB charging port
- All-LED lighting system
- Front disc brakes with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System)
- Rear drum brakes for stable braking
Suspension and Build
For a smooth and comfortable ride, the scooter features:
- Telescopic fork suspension at the front
- Hydraulic mono-shock suspension at the rear
These components ensure better handling and ride quality across different terrains.
Price and Availability
The ex-showroom price is expected to be between ₹85,000 and ₹95,000. TVS plans to officially launch the electric Jupiter by the end of 2025. Once launched, customers will be able to book it by paying just ₹15,000 upfront, with the remaining amount available through financing and EMI options.
