In the sacred city of Vrindavan, Saint Premanand Maharaj narrowly avoided a serious mishap during his daily pilgrimage. A large iron truss structure, part of a temporary tent setup along his walking route, suddenly began to shake and collapse just as the saint was passing by. Quick action by those accompanying him, along with the police present at the site, ensured his safety and prevented any injury.

According to sources, the incident was triggered by the overwhelming crowd that had gathered to catch a glimpse of Maharaj. The heavy footfall caused the iron framework of the decorative tent to become unstable and begin toppling. Fortunately, no one was hurt, and the situation was brought under control swiftly.

Festival Celebrations Underway in Vrindavan

At the time of the incident, Vrindavan was hosting the HIT Utsav in honor of Shri Harivansh Mahaprabhu. For this event, several decorative structures, including tents and trusses, had been set up along the Parikrama Marg (circumambulation route). Premanand Maharaj was walking on this same path from his ashram to his residence when the structure started to wobble, raising alarms among the devotees and organizers.

Incident Occurred During Morning Pilgrimage

The event took place on Wednesday morning. Like every day, Premanand Maharaj set out on his scheduled path for his daily padayatra (pilgrimage on foot). On his return journey, a massive crowd had gathered along the route to receive his blessings. As he neared a section close to his ashram, one of the iron trusses—used for decoration—began to sway and appeared to collapse, causing momentary panic.

A video of the incident has gone viral on social media. It shows Maharaj being swiftly shielded by his followers and security personnel as the structure began to fall. The footage clearly captures the tense moments and the narrow escape. Devotees, though initially shocked, were relieved that no major accident occurred.
