Islamabad: An objectionable video in the name of Pakistani news anchor Mona Alam is becoming increasingly viral on social media. Due to this video, many types of rumors are being spread. However, now Mona Alam herself has broken her silence in this matter and clarified and termed it a conspiracy.

Mona Alam shared a post on the social media platform X and clarified that the woman seen in the viral video is not her. She wrote, “Some people with a poor mindset on social media are spreading this video as mine. Whereas the woman seen in it is a criminal, against whom legal action is already going on.”

To prove her point, the anchor also shared the real picture of the woman who is being linked to this video. Along with this, she also posted a copy of the police complaint, which makes it clear that she has taken legal steps in this matter.

Mona Alam said, “My character is impeccable, and those who are spreading such propaganda against me will have to face the consequences.”

It is worth noting that the cases of spreading fake news and morphed videos on social media are constantly increasing. Such incidents can not only tarnish someone’s image, but it also comes under the category of cyber crime.
