Edited Video of Seema Haider Sparks Controversy, Lawyer A.P. Singh Responds

A video featuring Seema Haider, a Pakistani national who entered India via Nepal, has recently gone viral on social media. In the clip, she is allegedly heard chanting “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Hindustan Murdabad”. Notably, Supreme Court lawyer A.P. Singh also appears in the video.

However, A.P. Singh has strongly refuted the claims surrounding the video. Speaking from Greater Noida, he alleged that the video had been deliberately edited to spread false propaganda. He clarified that the footage in question is from the 2023 “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign — a patriotic event promoting the Indian national flag.

A.P. Singh: Video Has Been Tampered With

According to Singh, during the Tiranga rally, both he and Seema Haider had actually shouted slogans in support of India — such as “Hindustan Zindabad” and “Pakistan Murdabad”. He claimed that the video had been manipulated to convey the opposite message and is now being circulated widely to malign their image.

He further alleged that this was part of a larger narrative pushed by pro-Pakistan elements to discredit him and Seema.

Demands for Investigation

A.P. Singh has called on Indian investigative agencies to probe the matter thoroughly. He demanded strict action against those responsible for editing and spreading the misleading video. According to him, while Pakistan has lost on the battlefield, it is now using social media warfare to tarnish reputations within India.

Singh emphasized the importance of identifying and penalizing those behind such digital misinformation campaigns.

Previous Controversy Involving Seema Haider

This isn’t the first time Seema Haider has been at the center of controversy. Earlier, images of her allegedly wearing a Pakistani army uniform went viral shortly after the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22. However, those photos were later claimed to be AI-generated and not authentic.

Following the Pahalgam attack, the Indian government issued directives for Pakistani nationals visiting India on valid visas to return. This sparked public speculation about whether Seema would also be asked to leave.

Her lawyer responded at the time by stating that all her documents are with the authorities and that she is in full compliance with Indian laws.
