Pappu Yadav Sparks Controversy with Remarks on Hindu Saints

New Delhi: Controversial statements by politician Pappu Yadav have once again stirred public outrage. In a recent address, Yadav claimed that “Hindu saints have become as common as mushrooms” and went on to say, “True saints are not from Hinduism, but are figures like Hazrat and Prophet Muhammad.”

The remarks have drawn sharp criticism from various Hindu groups and social media users, who allege that targeting Hindu beliefs and saints has become a trend among several opposition leaders.

Critics argue that such statements not only hurt religious sentiments but also contribute to growing social polarization. “Mocking Hinduism seems to have become a favorite pastime for the opposition,” said one political commentator.

As tensions rise, calls for an official apology and potential legal action are growing louder.
