Homebuilders are now facing increased expenses not just for cement and sand but also for iron due to rising building material prices. The steepest price hikes have been observed in essential materials like bricks and cement. Various cement brands have seen notable price increases. Additionally, the shortage of river mining activities has contributed to the rising costs of sand, Badarpur, and dust.
Bricks have become more expensive by approximately ₹1,000 per thousand. Iron rod prices have been fluctuating significantly, and sand prices have risen by ₹10 per cubic foot. Similarly, Badarpur prices have increased by ₹8, while iron rods now cost ₹10 more per kg.
