Bhavishya Malika is an ancient and mysterious scripture believed to be authored by the sage Maharishi Shivanandi. According to this prophetic text, the end of Kali Yuga—the current age of darkness and moral decline—is fast approaching, making way for the emergence of a new era.
A Week of Darkness Before the Dawn
The prophecy states that a time will come when the world will be engulfed in complete darkness for seven consecutive days. This darkness is not just a natural phenomenon—it is interpreted as a sign of deep spiritual transformation.
It is believed that this rare and unsettling event could occur around the year 2030, during which neither the Sun, Moon, nor stars will be visible in the sky.
Fear, Confusion, and the Role of Faith
During these dark days, the Earth will be filled with fear, confusion, and chaos. The scriptures say that chanting the name of God will be the only refuge for humanity.
Once the darkness ends, a new era of truth and divine consciousness—often referred to as Satya Yuga—will begin.
Symbolism or a Warning?
While many spiritual scholars interpret these visions symbolically, suggesting they reflect moral and societal collapse, others take them as a literal warning of impending transformation.
According to Bhavishya Malika, the end of Kali Yuga will be marked by massive natural disasters. Seas will overflow, and coastal cities will be submerged.
The Arrival of Kalki and the Restoration of Dharma
This global upheaval is said to coincide with the appearance of Kalki Avatar, the final incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Kalki will destroy evil, restore righteousness (dharma), and guide the world into a new age.
It is believed that true devotees will be protected by the divine during this period of darkness, which may be triggered by technological or astronomical phenomena.
Signs from the Sky and the Text’s Growing Credibility
The prophecy also mentions that people will hear loud, unexplained sounds from the sky. Since several predictions from Bhavishya Malika are believed to have already come true, the credibility and interest in this scripture continue to grow.
